My Instagram account is one of my favourite ways to market my business and engage with the community I have built. I spend hours scrolling through those little squares and when I asked on the Small & Supercharged Facebook group if anybody would be interested in a 30 day Instagram challenge, to help use the platform to grow their business, create new content and connect with other likeminded business owners the interest was staggering.
It seems quite a few of you would love a bit of help when it comes to navigating the mysterious waters of Instagram.
And with a lot of discussion and rumour just recently released, about the potential changes we may be seeing on the platform, through 2018, I thought this was the perfect time to set this up.
The idea will be that we begin on the 1st February 2018, but if you’re reading this at a later date, you can start at any time. And I’m aware that February only has 28 days, however, the beauty of a 30 day challenge is that it can be used and re-used whenever you need it.
It’s a great way to come up with new content, without having to think too hard, because the basic theme is already provided for you. It encourages you to think outside of the box, get a little creative and perhaps post things you might not ordinarily have had the courage or insight to post.
The use of the hashtag #30DayRuralBusiness is important, because it not only means that you are searchable, by others partaking in the challenge, but it also means that you can use it to find and connect with other businesses that might compliment yours. Whether they are business you can ‘regram’, or that might be a potential collaboration partner for you for the future, or simply that you enjoy following and interacting with.
The best way to go about a 30 day challenge is to plan in advance. Look through the challenge below and try to plan as many of your posts ahead of schedule as you can. This will help you keep up and will alleviate a huge amount of stress that social media usage seems to cause so many business owners.
You can also transfer many of the posts onto your Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest and LinkedIn profiles, if you like. So the hope is that the challenge should provide you with strong content across multiple social media platforms.
So, without further ado, your challenge, should you accept it, is as follows…
