Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Country Homes & Interiors Christmas shopping event, at Stonor Park, in Henley-on-Thames for an afternoon of perusing beautiful boutique stalls, packed full of the best gifts and knick-knacks to fill any country home.
And I thought I’d put together a little list of my favourite picks, (some of which you can find online, but some of which are exclusive to the event) to perhaps inspire you, or give you a reason to pop over to the show and pick up some perfect pressies.
Here’s what I found for you…
There were these wonderfully smelling candles, from Vintage Barn Interiors, perfect for any home at Christmas. My favourite was the log fire, which smelt so authentic. And as somebody who doesn’t have a real fire in my home, I’m hoping this will help me pretend.
These adorable little signs for kids bedrooms or cupboards, from Toril Design. You can’t go wrong with personalised gifts.
I absolutely fell in love with this riding boot and patey lamp, from Splendid Ted, who source antique and vintage items to create unique pieces which are visually pleasing, as well as practical.
These stunning, delicate, hand-crafted fairies, from Halinka’s Fairies. Perfect as Christmas decorations, bedroom ornaments
and family heirlooms.
These genius, personalised, waggy tailed hooks, perfect for hanging your dog’s lead on, from Peck & Chisel.
How can these fail to make you smile?
These cute little hanging signs, which would make the ideal stocking filler (above) and beautiful soft, material letters to Santa (below) by Polkadot & Katie Kid. So many beautiful hand painted items on this stand that I just couldn’t choose what to show you first.
Do you know somebody who struggles to sleep? Or could do with a de-stresser? These candles and pamper packs from Scentered were absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing and would make such a thoughtful gift.
I absolutely adored these beautiful framed prints, from The Print Rescuer. These are real prints, taken from books in varying conditions, including some of my childhood favourites, such as Thelwell, Winnie the Pooh, Beatrix Potter books. So nostalgic and a fabulous idea for children’s bedrooms.
These fun signs, with something for every home, from the top chefs, to the fashion gurus, to the Prosecco fanatics, to the tea and coffee lovers. All from Chambers Morris Designs.
And these ingenious beanbags for your tablet, iPad or kindle, by Charleylou Designs. What a great idea!
This beautiful print, made with real feathers, and a whole range of other incredible artwork,
by the very talented Chloe Gardner.
And for the kids, these fun, funky letter boards (above) from Eliza Wray. Also from the Eliza Wray stand, this charming toy circus, complete with mouse puppets. I would have loved this as a little girl, and it’s totally timeless.
And very lastly, for the cheese-lovers (cough*me*cough) of the family, something a little original; cheese making kit, from The Cheesemakers Choice.
I hope this has provided a little inspiration for you, this Christmas and if you are in the Henley area, and fancy a lovely day out with a spot of lunch or afternoon tea, I’d highly recommend a visit to the Country Homes and Interiors Christmas shopping event, which is running until 26th November.
Big thank you to the team, for having us, today and for allowing me to write this blog post for you guys. We will definitely be back to visit again next year.
