At the weekend we decided to take a little trip to see the Essex Farmers and Union Hunt, who were meeting at The Anchor in Danbury.
We had a great couple of hours following them across the Danbury and Maldon countryside, trying our best to keep up and second guess their movements.
Everybody was super friendly and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody who chatted to us, helped us work out where to go and made us feel welcome, riders and foot-followers alike. We had a great morning.
I absolutely love taking photographs of the hunt. Everybody making such an effort in their finery, the horses in their element and the whole event steeped in tradition. It just makes for such timeless, atmospheric images.
And, of course, it’s always nice to mix it up a little and do something slightly different to my standard portrait shoots. 🙂
