You may have seen my post about Georgie and Athena, from Jotman’s Farm, yesterday. Well, my second session from that day was with Hayley and Trojan.

Hayley was my initial contact and had got in touch to organise the shoot. She wanted some photographs of her handsome Irish Cob, Trojan, who she has owned for four years.

‘Ash Hills Trojan’ is eight years-old and Hayley tells me that when she bought him, he was half the horse he is now. Quite literally. She says that he has grown in every direction and that he has suspected Shire in his breeding, somewhere along the lines. He is a real tank of a horse, at just 15.1hh, but probably just as wide. Just my type!

Hayley and Trojan have done various charity sponsored rides, local dressage, clinics and showing shows, as well as trying their hand at a little bit of jumping.

Hayley says that before Trojan came into her life, she’d had a few horses that had really knocked her confidence and weren’t so easy to deal with. But super Trojan has totally restored it again and has helped Hayley get back to her old self, once again, both back in the saddle and on the ground.

And I can attest to the fact that he is an absolute gentleman. He was super laid back and cooperative, throughout our entire shoot. He would just do whatever was asked of him without a fuss and didn’t bat an eyelid at anything.

Hayley says, “His strengths are my weaknesses and his weaknesses are my strengths.”

Thank you so much for getting in touch and having me over to Jotman’s Hayley. It was a pleasure to meet you all and you know that I love your boy!
