Just before I went away, I had the pleasure of working with Marie Edwards and Abbie Davies, from Priory Farm Equine Spa and Rehab Centre, over in Langley, in Buckinghamshire, on some new images for their business.
Marie, who owns the facility, wanted some images for her shiny, new, re-vamped website and also a bank of stock images that the team could use on social media and in future marketing campaigns, going forward.
Marie and Abbie have worked together for ten years and run Priory Farm together. They both enjoy showing their coloured and native ponies and competing in dressage.
Priory Farm originally started off as a livery yard and Marie and Abbie only looked into the possibility of getting a hydrotherapy spa on-sight, when one of their liveries needed rehabilitating.
That’s how their journey started and they eventually became one of the leading independent rehabilitation centres in the UK, their main aim, to help as many horses and owners as possible.
“We love seeing the end results and our clients horses doing well, back doing what they love,” say Marie and Abbie.
Priory Farm offers performance, fitness, rehabilitation and preventive care. Their first class facilities include a cold, salt water hydrotherapy spa, a water treadmill and twenty metre horsewalker, as well as a beautiful outdoor menage and purpose built stable blocks.
The residents range from local, amateur riders, right up to international competition riders. And the treatments they offer aren’t just for injured horses, they are perfect for keeping horses fit, healthy and feeling great, so every horse can benefit.
There are impressive plans for the future of Priory Farm, including the possibility of a swimming pool. But first and foremost, the team are determined to concentrate on continuing to help horses recover from injury and maintain fitness, depending on their requirements.
It’s clear, when you visit the centre, that Marie, Abbie and the team love what they do and are passionate about rehabilitating horses to the highest standard. The yard has a lovely feel and they are proud to cater for all needs, from ordinarily liveries, to horses on box rest, to top competition animals wanting to get back out to their job.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet and work with these guys and learn all about the fabulous work they do at Priory Farm. I can’t wait to go back for our group photoshoot later on in the summer!
