What’s one thing that’s sure to put a smile on my face and have me obsessing over a set of images so much that I can not wait to get them edited?

Sunset Shoots!!

I absolutely adore shooting in the evenings, just before the sun goes down, when everything looks golden, the sun is filtering through the trees and life just seems perfect for a moment.

It’s these shoots that will have me up until the early hours of the morning because that ‘I’ll just put them onto the computer and have a look at how they turned out‘, turns into ‘I’m in love with these images and I can’t stop editing!

In the summer, sunset shoots will usually start around 7pm (depending on the month) and in the winter, it gets even easier, as we can start as early as 3pm and still get that beautiful light.

I understand that late evening sessions may not be practical for some clients. If you have young children who need to be in bed by a certain hour, or a horse that wouldn’t appreciate missing dinner time, then it might not be doable. I also only offer them to relatively local clients.

But I would advise, if you’re in a position to do so, that opting for an evening shoot would be totally worth the extra effort! I’m not going to say much more. I’m just going to show you these images, filled with golden light leaks, flawless skin and lens flare, and let them speak for themselves.
