I’ve always been a huge fan of Facebook and Instagram, but in the last six months or so, I’ve really started trying to use my Twitter account more for my business. And I’m pleased to report that I’ve seen some great results already.
I’ve connected with some fab brands and individuals and I really love the sense of community on Twitter.
One of the things that I’ve found to be the most effective (and also the most fun!) are the horse-related hashtag hours.
Every night of the week, there is a different hashtag that is used, usually between 8pm and 9pm, to bring the equine community together. There is always one Twitter account at the helm of each hashtag hour, encouraging everyone to join in, retweeting tweets that include the appropriate hashtag and just generally keeping everything running like clockwork.
If you have something to promote, doing it in the hashtag hours is a great way to get it out to a new audience, because it will get seen by more people and receive more retweets than it would ordinarily.
So, having discovered these hashtag hours and seen the benefits myself, I thought I would share the concept with you and give you a breakdown of what hours occur on what days, so that you can join in, too.
